The Oaks Castle Weddings
The Oaks Castle on South Roan Street in Johnson City, Tennessee is unrivaled in the region as the only historic castle-type setting. This one-of-a-kind venue will make for an incredible backdrop to your dream wedding day.
The open lawn has enough huge oaks lining it that for most of the day, you can enjoy the exquisite landscape in the shade. Ancient boxwoods line pathways around the property leading to landscaped terraces with stone facades and goldfish ponds.
The house itself provides a gorgeous and welcoming ambience with many rooms with individual character. The main hallway is a great place for bridal portraits with 20-foot windows lining the entire passageway. A full kitchen is available for your caterer to set up shop and keep the goodies coming. Several rooms are available upstairs for the wedding party to dress in and some provide parapets overlooking the property.

The Oaks Estate was built in the 1920s by Tennessee Supreme Court Judge Thaddeus Abraham Cox. Architect James Green designed the house and landscape with the help of Mrs. Pearle Painter Cox who personally oversaw The Oaks Nursery and grounds for a number of years.
